Friday Single Day Bookings

If you are making a booking on any Friday for a single day then your vehicle is due back before 5.30pm that day or at 8am on the Saturday morning; a later drop off maybe arranged by prior agreement.

New DVLA Rules

The view driving licence service replaces the paper counter part of your driving licence. Before your hire commences you will need to log on the website and generate a one time code. This code is valid for 21 days.

Can I hire a 7.5 tonner if I am using it for company use?

Yes if the company has a current operator Licence.

Can I drive a 7.5 ton truck?

Yes, If you have category C1 on your licence (experience is still needed)

Can I add any extra drivers?

Yes you can, at an additional cost of £5.00 to £10.00 plus VAT per day.

Can I hire if I have any points / convictions on my licence

On our Insurance you are allowed up to 6 points for speeding or minor offences. If you have more than 6 points or any other convictions we can call our insurance brokers for individual advice.

Can I still hire if I haven’t got my driving Licence, or only got one part of my licence

Yes, we can call DVLA to get the information we need for insurance purposes.

I passed my driving test 2 months ago, am I still able to hire?

No, you must have at least 2 years driving experience on a full licence.

What id is needed to collect a van?

1) Driving licence, national insurance number, Shared driving licence code and 2x proof of address dated within the last 3 months with your name and address on (bank statement/utility bill)

Do I need a deposit?

The short answer is yes.

21-25 year old £500.00
25-70 year old £250.00
7.5 ton truck £500.00
All deposits are only payable on a credit/debit card and are refundable after an incident free hire.
Please note all refunds on deposits will take 3 to 5 working days to show on your statement.

How old do I have to be to hire a van?

Between 21-75 years old  (deposits are higher between 21-25 years)
